Selection and Application of Laser Dust Sensors in PM2.5 Monitors

Selection and application of laser dust sensors in PM2.5 detectors

The laser particle sensor module LD16 is a high-precision particulate matter concentration sensor developed and produced based on the laser Mie scattering theory. It can continuously collect and calculate the distribution of particulate matter concentration, convert it into mass concentration, and output it via a universal digital interface, providing timely and accurate concentration data.

PM2.5 refers to fine particulate matter in the atmosphere with a diameter of 2.5μm or less. Affected by conditions such as air pressure, temperature, and geographical environment, PM2.5 particles can remain suspended in the atmosphere for long periods. A higher concentration indicates more severe air pollution.

PM2.5 fine particulate matter can be converted from oxides of sulfur and ammonia. Due to its strong activity, large surface area, and tendency to carry other types of toxic and harmful substances, it seriously affects human health. Large-scale detection instruments with multiple particulate and gas detection functions are relatively expensive and bulky, making them unsuitable for ownership and use in public places, offices, and homes.

PM2.5 detectors utilize laser PM2.5 dust sensors. Based on the laser scattering principle, they perform photoelectric conversion of signals scattered by PM2.5 particles, amplify the electrical signals, and display the collected dust concentration, making them suitable for home use. A laser sensor is a sensing device that uses laser technology for measurement. Laser sensors enable non-contact measurement with large range, high precision, strong anti-interference capability, and high speed.

Application fields of the PM2.5 laser dust concentration sensor module developed and produced by Luftmy, a particle concentration sensor manufacturer: air purifiers, air conditioners with purification functions, PM2.5 detectors, range hoods, smoke alarms, fresh air systems, dedicated PM2.5 sensors, air detectors, wearable devices, etc.
