The PM2.5 Dust Infrared Sensor Module HPD05 utilizes the principle of optical scattering to obtain particulate matter concentration. Since particles and molecules produce light scattering when illuminated, they also absorb part of the incident light energy. The light intensity is proportional to the strength of the photoelectric conversion signal. By measuring the electrical signal, the relative attenuation rate can be obtained, which in turn allows the determination of dust concentration in the test field. PWM and UART communication are then applied via a microcontroller. Sensor Installation Suggestions:

1. Installation should be in a position with air circulation;

2. Air velocity: 1.5～3 m/S, Air volume: 0.004～0.01 CMM;

3. Please place the LUFTMY logo at the top during installation;

4. For front-facing installation, please keep at least 5mm of unobstructed space in front of the sensor ventilation holes;

5. It is recommended to add 3 to 5 mm thick black breathable filter cotton at the ventilation hole on the side of the sensor close to the machine's air inlet to prevent the accumulation and blockage of large particles such as dust and lint;
