Dust sensors can efficiently monitor the concentration of PM2.5 particles, helping to prevent respiratory diseases.

● PM10 Particulates: PM10 represents fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 10 micrometers, which includes PM2.5. These particles can trigger allergic reactions, asthma, and other respiratory issues. Dust sensors can effectively monitor PM10 particles, contributing to improved air quality.

● Genetic Material: Dust sensors can also monitor genetic material within fine particulate matter, such as pollen, bacteria, viruses, and fungal spores. This is particularly important for patients with allergic diseases, as they need to know if microscopic organisms that can trigger an allergic reaction are present in the air.

● Chemical Particulates: Some dust sensors can also detect chemical particles in the air, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and heavy metal particles. This is useful for monitoring air quality in industrial areas as well as pollutants in indoor environments.

● Droplet Particulates: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the application of dust sensors was further expanded to monitor the filtration efficiency of masks and respirators, as well as the droplet particles released by people when breathing.
