A dust sensor is a sensor component that detects dust content in the air through light scattering and converts it into a voltage output. The types of dust it can detect include cigarette smoke particles, bedding dust, dust from cleaning, lice, pet hair, etc.
The sensitivity levels of a dust sensor are as follows:
1. In a space of about 10 square meters, 3 to 4 cigarettes in a stationary state will trigger the sensor.
2. In a space of about 10 square meters, smoking 1 cigarette will trigger the sensor.
3. In the case of dust particles, shaking bedding can also be detected.
Uses of dust sensors:
1. Used as sensors for household products such as air purifiers, ventilation fans, and air conditioners.
2. Used as indoor environmental status monitors for homes, offices, hospital waiting rooms, etc.
Installation precautions for dust sensors:
1. Due to the detection principle, a weak upward airflow is generated inside the sensor, so there is a distinction between top and bottom during installation.
2. Additionally, to avoid disturbing the internal airflow, the air intake and exhaust ports must not directly encounter strong winds.
