#Appearance Design#

The entire Siemens Sie睿 air detector product includes a base, a detection box, a USB charging cable, and a manual. The base and the detection box are packaged separately. The charging cable can be perfectly embedded in the packaging box, and the packaging is very meticulous.

The overall design adopts the currently popular rectangular chamfer design, and the simple geometric shapes are atmospheric and fashionable. The detection box adopts the sky color combination of Clear Sky Blue and Cloud White. The base is a white body shell with a black display panel, a classic black and white color scheme, simple and fresh. No matter where it is placed, it is a good decoration.

Different from the bulky and crude appearance design of some testing instruments, the Sie睿 design is very compact. The base body is only the size of a girl's palm, and the detection box is even more mini, with a net weight of only about 120g, making it more convenient to carry and can be easily put into a small bag or even a pocket.

The panel of the Sie睿 body has undergone special matting treatment, presenting a matte fine texture, showing a more soft and delicate feel, and adding a sense of warmth to the home. The display panel uses an ultra-clear black mirror LCD VA display screen, and the screen display values can be clearly seen from the side.

#Detail Design#

There is an air inlet on each of the back and the right side of the detection box. The back is for measuring PM2.5, and the right side is for measuring formaldehyde. Fluid dynamics design air ducts, independent detection of formaldehyde and PM2.5 without mutual interference.

The base also has two air inlets, on the back and the left side, both of which are for measuring temperature and humidity.

There is a charging port on the back of both the base and the detection box. The base has no built-in battery and needs to be connected to the power supply through the charging port. The detection box is equipped with a 1000mAH large-capacity, low-load battery, which can be used independently after charging and has a long battery life. The reverse power supply design of the box can even supply power to the base for a short time when there is no power supply, which is a very thoughtful design.

All monitoring data are presented on the base display panel. The values of various air parameters such as formaldehyde concentration, indoor PM2.5 concentration, outdoor PM2.5 concentration, temperature, and relative humidity are clearly visible on the display screen.

Among them, the outdoor PM2.5 data is taken from the data center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, showing the PM2.5 data of the located city, which requires an Internet connection to use.

#Functional Design#

① Configuration

Sie睿 is equipped with three precision sensors: a 0-5ppm precise electrochemical formaldehyde sensor, which is more suitable for home formaldehyde concentration detection; a 0.3μm high-precision laser PM2.5 sensor to reflect pollutant values in time; a Swiss-imported temperature and humidity sensor for accurate detection and professional multi-effect.

② Detection Sensitivity Experiment

In order to test the detection sensitivity of the Sie睿 air detector, we light a cigarette. As the smoke from the burning cigarette is released, manually press the base button or pull down the APP page to refresh. The PM2.5 value displayed by Sie睿 immediately rises, showing that Sie睿 is very sensitive to air sensing.

③ Temperature & Humidity Detection Experiment

We tested the temperature and humidity detection capability of Sie睿 with another temperature and humidity detector. It can be seen that when Sie睿 displays the indoor temperature as 25℃ and the humidity as 64%, the values detected by the compared temperature and humidity detection instrument are completely consistent with it.

After the above series of comparative experiments, it is proved that the detection items of Sie睿 are very accurate and reliable.

#Usage Demonstration#

① One-button Operation

Both the base and the detection box have a power button. Short press the power button to light up the indicator light to open the box. The detection base will automatically turn on when connected to the power supply. Long press the base power button for 3 seconds to turn off the screen and shut down. One-button start-up can quickly calibrate, sensitive detection, and no long-time reset waiting.

② Remote Monitoring

Sie睿 can be used with a mobile App and WeChat Mini Program. The App can connect to three types of devices: "detection box + base", "detection box", and "detection base". Scan the QR code on the manual to download the "智享西家" APP. Enter the APP to select the device to be connected. Ensure that the phone and the device are in the same network environment, enter the WiFi password, and after connecting to the network, you can see all the data of Sie睿 on the phone, and pull down to refresh the data.

The WeChat Mini Program only connects to the detection box separately. Scan the QR code on the manual with WeChat. In the power-on state, long press the box power button for 8 seconds until the indicator light flashes quickly to enter the Bluetooth pairing mode. Click Bluetooth pairing to add, and you can connect to the mobile phone to read data.

In this way, for a newly renovated house, you only need to put Sie睿 in the house, and you can remotely monitor the air quality through your mobile phone at any time, so as to know if you can move in, without having to go there personally to confirm.

When on a business trip, you can also understand the air quality at home through your mobile phone, and remind your family to open windows or turn on air purification equipment in time, without being restricted by time and space.

③ Settings Operation

If you want to see updated values, you can trigger sensor detection and value uploading by pressing the button on the base or pulling down the APP.

When using the detection box alone, it will be in energy-saving mode by default when leaving the factory, and the data will be updated automatically every 1 hour. If the user wants to update more frequently, it can be set to normal mode in the APP, and the data will be refreshed automatically every 20 minutes.

When using the combination of "detection box + detection base", the data will be read and updated automatically every 5 minutes, and no user setting is required.

Sie睿 can display the outdoor PM2.5 content of the located city. If you want to switch cities, you can set the location on the APP, click the settings button on the lower right side of the screen, and select the city to be located to switch successfully.

At the same time, the outdoor PM2.5 data displayed on the detector will also change.

① Separable base for portable detection

The detection box and base of Sie睿 can be separated and used independently. The box is very compact and convenient to carry, realizing portable detection. If children go to school and want to know if the school's air quality is good? If going out for a dinner party and want to know if the restaurant environment is good? Bring the detection box, and you can detect the air quality of the environment you are in anytime and anywhere.

Magnetic suction and anti-reverse insertion design are provided at the connection between the base and the detection box. The detection box can be easily inserted into the base. When inserted backward, the anti-reverse insertion design of the base will prevent the box from being inserted, preventing misoperation from damaging the instrument.

② Intuitive hints and thoughtful suggestions

Sie睿 can also intuitively provide reasonable air improvement suggestions through display icons based on the currently detected air quality parameter data, telling you whether you can open windows, and whether you should humidify or dehumidify.

If the icon turns red, it means the air is polluted, and air purification measures should be taken. The service is very thoughtful.
